Treatment Philosophy
All of us contain the knowledge of perfect health within us. Ayurveda is the foremost science offering a road map that every individual can use to unlock their healing powers. I believe that healing does not follow a straight line and cannot be done alone. I strive to ensure that each person I work with is seen as the unique person they are. I want to hear your journey, see the authentic you, and collaborate with you to build a realistic, simple health plan that works for you.
I help my clients to decode the messages their bodies are sending as symptoms of various imbalances. I teach my clients how to use diet, daily and seasonal routines, movement and subtle energetic practices with breath and sound to regain balance in their body and mind. The ultimate aim of Ayurveda is to regain a deep connection to self and harmony with the natural world. I meet my clients exactly where they are on their health journey and teach them how to shift from a mindset of restriction and scarcity to intuition and expansiveness. You will walk away with tools that last a lifetime!
Biography
Tamara is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Teacher and Educator. She graduated from Evergreen State College with a BA in Bi-lingual Education, then earned her teaching certificate from Pacific Oaks University. She then went on to study Ayurveda at Mount Madonna College of Ayurveda earning a Masters in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ayurvedic Practitioner. Tamara continued her Ayurvedic Education in India completing a one month internship at Easy Ayurveda Hospital in Mangaluru, Karnataka. While in India she also completed a 1.5 month course in Panchakarma body therapies at Greens Ayurveda College in Azhiyur, Kerala. Continuing her studies in India she also received her 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certification from Sivinanda Meenakshi Ashram in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Tamara was first introduced to Ayurveda nearly 30 years ago during a personal health crisis. What began as a search for healing slowly grew into a lifelong friendship with this ancient science—built one small, meaningful practice at a time. Guided by wise Vaidyas (Ayurvedic doctors), stacks of well-loved books, and a whole lot of curiosity, she found herself continually drawn back to Ayurveda's timeless wisdom.
Over the years, Ayurveda became less of a hobby and more of a quiet companion—showing up in her kitchen, her morning routines, and her way of seeing the world. Then came the stillness of Covid, and with it, a realization: this wasn’t just self-care or self-study. This was love. A deep belief in healing the whole person by getting to the root, not just the symptoms.
That spark turned into a calling. With heart and humor, Tamara stepped into a second career, returning to school to study what had been quietly nourishing her for decades. Now, as a practitioner and teacher, she shares Ayurveda not as a prescription, but as an invitation—to tune in, to slow down, and to come home to yourself.
It is with humility that Tamara continues in the tradition of her teachers and gratefully bows to the feet of her Guru.
